The catalog Wald. Wolf. Wildnis. deals with artistic interpretations of the subject 'forest' and the wolf that has returned there and embodies a piece of wilderness. All genres--painting, sculpture, photography, drawings, graphics, videos and small sculptures--are represented: The predominantly contemporary works by 25 artists show light-flooded, but also mysterious, dark, magical forests, romantic and enigmatic natural landscapes, the individual wolf, wolf packs, wolf heads, thermographic recordings of wolves or they thematize myths and fairy tales, such as Little Red Riding Hood. In the face of an increasingly threatened environment, we are forced to reflect on our relationship with nature. The exhibited works are evidence of the respect for life in all its diversity.
